Christmas Wish List 2017

December 23, 2017

It's the day before Christmas, and today I want to share with you what's on my wish list for this year

...

Photography is one of my biggest hobbies, and I’ve been wanting to upgrade my camera equipment for almost a year now. I’ve therefore put a camera lens on top of my wish list this year. I’ve been eyeing the Canon EF-M 22mm Pancake Lens ever since I bought my Canon EOS M3 camera. The lens has a aperture of f/2.0, which will add dimension, blur out the background and create sharp, in focus photos.

Becca is a brand that recently came to the Norwegian market, and after trying out the popular Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector and Backlight Priming Filter Primer, I've been eager to try out some more products from them. I'm a huge fan of highlighters and primers, and I've therefore put the Shimmering Skin Perfector in the shade Moonstone and the First Light Priming Filter Primer on my list.

I've gotten more and more into skincare over the last year, and some skincare items that are on my list for this year are the Origins Flower Fushion Sheet MasksLancôme Bi-Facial Visage, and the MAC Cosmetics Canded Nectar Lip Scrubtious. I've been falling more and more in love with sheet masks as they are easy to remove and make your skin feel clean, refreshed and nourished. I'm also a huge fan of micellar waters to remove my makeup. I've been very impressed with the micellar waters from Lancôme, and have therefore put the Lancôme Bi-Facil Visage Micellar Water on the list, which I haven't tried yet.

I’ve also put a few of my all time favorites on my list, as I’m running out and need new ones. The first being my beloved Pure Plush Deep Cleanser from bareMinerals, which does a great job at cleansing without leaving my skin feeling dry. I've put the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation on my list, as it’s one of the best skin-like foundations I’ve ever tried. I've also put a few Sigma brushes on my list, two of them being the Round Kabuki F82, and the Small Eyeliner E10 brush. Sigma is definitely one of my favorite brands when it comes to makeup brushes, as they have amazing quality for a cheap prize.

Lastly I've put the Daniel Wellington Classic Black Sheffield watch, together with the Rose Gold Classic Cuff on the list. I'm all about design, and I instantly fell in love with the watch and the cuff after seing them on Instagram. They are more on the pricey side, but I think it's definitely worth it as the design is gorgeous and of good quality!

My Favorite Drugstore Blushes

September 3, 2017

For me, blush is one of the steps in my face routine that makes the whole look complete. Over the years I've found two brands whose blushes I absolutely love. I don't own many blushes as I feel like I can work with the ones I already have in my collection, but if I do get myself a new blush it's usually from these two brands. The brands I'm talking about are MAC Cosmetics and IsaDora. My first ever high-end blush was from MAC, which is still one of my favorites, but I do believe that drugstore products can be just as good as high-end products, and that's how I feel about the IsaDora Perfect Blushes.

The Perfect Blush range by IsaDora has a great shade selection with over 10 shades of pinks, corals, and browns. They come in two different finishes - a matte finish and a pearl finish, where the blush has little specks of shimmers in it, which gives a natural glow to the cheek. The formula is creamy, velvety and soft, giving a flawless looking finish to the cheek. What I love about these blushes are that they're pigmented, but not too pigmented, so it's easy to build up the color. I also love how easy it blends into the skin, and how it gives a fresh look to the face. The quality of these blushes are so amazing, and recently I've been reaching towards these more than my high-end blushes.

Unfortunately, you can only find IsaDora in Europe, Middle East, and Asia according to their website, but if you're lucky to find the brand either in store or online, I would totally recommend getting their blushes as they're so good and affordable.

We're slowly but surely going into the fall months. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, with indoor weather, hot chocolate drinks, and cozy moments. After moving into my own apartment I've gotten more and more into interior design and home decor. For a long time, I've been a huge fan of minimalism and whites when decorating, but recently I've gotten more into black and grays with a pop of color. Now that we're getting into fall I want to fresh up my apartment with some new and cozy decorations. I want to put some more color into my home, and I've fallen for the colors green, brown and gold.

Above you can see a collage of a few decorating items that I've got on my wish list at the moment. I love shopping for cheap but good quality decorations, and for me, IKEA and H&M Home are my favorite stores for that. I'm really looking forward to decorating my apartment for fall and making it ultra cozy, and I can't wait for the fall weather to kick in, with long evenings of relaxing, lighting candles and have a good time.
